So, DC is taking it’s revenge on me for trying to leave (also… apparently I’m getting older).
I went to the store today to pick up a bunch of stuff for my party this weekend. Everything was going great until I tried to load my bag on the back of my bike. When I lifted the bag I felt a sharp pain in my lower back and I couldn’t stand up straight. I flopped to the ground and opened my first aid kit, popped a couple of Ibuprofin, and tried to figure things out.
After about 15 minutes I started to feel better and slowly worked my way up into a standing position. Just as I was about to try loading my bike again it started pouring rain. So… I’m hurt and now soaking wet. After about 20 minutes of slow movements I get my bags loaded and start to walk my bike home. Well, one of my Camelback’s straps got stuck in the wheel and I had to cut it out… in the rain…
By time I hobbled myself home my new camera was destroyed, my headphones aren’t working, and my peanut butter exploded into a sticky (and glass-filled mess). So here I am stuck in bed, barely able to move, and my bike is in desperate need of repair. Uggh, not my day.
