After a quick breakfast at our improvised camp site we headed out towards Show Low to do some Internet work and see Batman. My dear friends Peter and Emily gave me some money with the specific purpose of getting out of the sun for a bit in an air conditioned building, Batman seems like a wise use of these funds. Considering how well we’ve been riding lately taking a few hours off will be nice.
The road after Show Low got pretty rough with small shoulders, hills, and wind. We pushed trough them but it looks like the next few days through the mountains will be tough ones. We are playing with the idea of having a “short” day of only about 60 miles. In the end we found a park with camping in Overgaard, Arizona. A little town in the white mountains that seems to exist mostly for tourists.
