My Route

What follows is the basic route I will be travelling but in reality I am just heading west… If you know a site, a person, or an experience that is even remotely near this route please let me know, I would love some random adventures. This route will take me 46 days and I plan on highway camping and couchsurfing every night. I intentionally made the daily travel fairly short so that I can be spontaneous, camp for several days if I find an awesome spot, hang out with cool people I find on the road, etc.

I will be leaving from the Jefferson Memorial in Washington DC on June 2, 2012 and plan on arriving at the beach in Santa Monica, California on July 19, 2012. I don’t really have a reason for the beach at Santa Monica other than it feels right.
